INDOOR AIR QUALITY AND THERMAL COMFORT

There are various parameters that can be recorded within the served environment that will be indicative of the level of ventilation and thermal comfort provision.  This enables us to determine whether the ventilation and conditioning is adequate and also identify key areas of concern where ‘simple fixes’ may be available.  The key parameters assessed are:

  • Dry bulb air temperature (°C)

  • Relative humidity (%RH)

  • Carbon dioxide levels, CO2 (ppm)

  • Airborne respirable particulate (pm-3)

  • Airborne non respirable particulate (pm-3)

  • Airborne bacterial activity (cfu/l)

  • Airborne fungal activity (cfu/l)
